new blogskin?

argh... here i am... posting at 12.55am... the consequence of procrastinating lar...

completed my english, zuowen(will change the ending in school), art(heh) and i haf revised (sufficiently, i hope) for maths!!! wo0t! Hurrah!!! although i could have completed it by 9 if i had not been slacking the whole time... =/ the timetable tmr seems quite sian... all are academic periods apart from Art and Philospophy... sigh... and dere's no recess AND lunch for me le... saving up for my iPod Video! think i'll be able to geddit in another 60 plus days! YAY!! before March hols wo0t!!!

and i'm trying to get a new blogskin... getting really really sick of my present one... hmm.. can someone make one for me? *hint hint*

i think i better cram in some more stuff for maths...

goal-setting!!!

happy CNY everyone! =DDD hope everyone's richer now after all tt hongbaos and stuff. guess Mr Chow's gonna make us work off all that accumulated fats. =x

looking back on the past 1 month... say, it was really tedious... to think it's only the FIRST month of my sec TWO life... ARGH!!! can hardly breathe liao... >.< burnt... and the CNY break hardly helped me recharge...

i really hope i can do well again this year... the start of this year hasn't exactly been fantastic... and i'm really disappointed with my concentration, work attitude, and of cos, results... it's not too late for me to buck up now... (Man U always bounces back in times of difficulties!!! XD heh) and i sure hope i'll be able to... it's time for me to be firm, and really stop giving in to unneeded temptations like... erm, MSN... or even this blog... =( it's time to put in effort, and i'm confident i'll be able to get as much output as my input...

goal for this year. 4.0s for Chinese, English (=x), Malay, Maths?

3.6 for the rest... hmm..

it's definitely possible if i work hard for it!!! =)

of aching arms and satisfied fingers

ok.. *happy* Chinese New Year everyone! gimme hong baos! haha ;)

we only had 2 periods today. but both were academic period, sadly... 2B had Swimming followed by art... what kind of luck is tt lar?! haha... geog went pretty well.. but as usual, i screwed up in maths.. yea, i agree wiv Lin Ping, im becoming really really blur.. argh... forgot to bring my graph... ): had to do it outside class... but yes, i was the 1st to complete and return to classroom. tt was the only thing tt nearly killed my day. the rest of the day was great! =DDD

went backto RSS after school. Jia Jie, cbw, Yu Zhou, Xue Qian and i shared a cab... Yu Zhou used his *charm* and got us a cab.. heh... xp when we're on the highway, Yu Zhou went, "omg! the boot is open!" nd for ur information, my viola, and all our bags were in the boot. all except Yu Zhou... maybe he sabotaged us... =p jkjk but when we turned back, it was closed... thought he was just playing a fool... but when we got down. he was right. the boot was open!!! :O!!! thankfully everything was safe.. phew... the viola in the boot was a new school viola and according to Mr Sze... it's a very good one... yay! i'm so lucky... heh

so we went to the hall. and our little juniors were singing so happily... lalala... Chong Yu, i can now comprehend why u think ur singing is good lar. lol xD jkjk i was shouting from the side oso... being spastic... heh... and we're the RISE 4!!! wo0t! lol... left RSS quite early... nuthing much to do.. said hi to the tchrs, some seniors, peers and juniors.. so went off lor... went all the way to Tampines for gym.. my arms are aching now.. did a lot of weights! yay! wanted to watch I Not Stupid 2 wiv cbw... but due to financial constraints, we din...

the rest of the day was spent at home.. re-read ll my Dear Boys comics... slept...

tmr will have to start on my Chinese hw le... looking forward to reunion dinner! =DDD would be ideal if someone helps me fix my com and i can actually play my Fifa Manager 06 on it... damn the DirectX company lar... x( x( x(

not in the mood for anything

2 days to CNY... but i'm so not in the mood for CNY...

getting screwed in Maths class sure wasn't a gd way to start the day... argh... i can't seem to concentrate and was asking stupid questions... sorry, Mrs Ng... dun mean to piss u off. promise i'll try my best lar, and make use of the CNY break to work hard... (: apart from tt, the rest of the day was pretty uneventful...

and i din attend Board meeting.... dental check-up.

argh, and im so not in the mood for CNY. the past few years,b4 CNY, everything seems to be done up so nicely. be it in sch or home. this year, however, CNY's approaching... but i dun feel excited at all... more looking forward to the rest than anyhing else... it's a well-deserved rest after wat was a hectic month.. i'm sure many ppl will have to agree wiv me on tt. have a gd ret and come back charged ppl. haha! (: Nicholas deserves the doggy reunion dinner =p... ok, i'm mean...

Nicholas's sick... fleas?

Nicholas din come to school today... he's sick! the HORROR... i speculate it's just a bad case of fleas lar... his owner should powder him more...

argh. can't stay awake in class recently. i should kick he habit of slping after 1. but i can't help it lar... i'm really pathetique. okay, din see mr azhar today. was playing soccer during recess, and couldn't find him after school. bleargh... so till then i'm still in NCC loh... sianzz...

went for RP auditions after school. din do really well... not too badly either... but all of us will have to go for a workshop, and then from dere they'll start shortlisting... hope i'll get it of cos...

i forget wat i was about to write... effects of slping late. >.< lemme recall.

oh yar... got 38/80!!! for Current Affairs Quiz. altho full marks is 50, so 38/50 is my result lor... bad.. considering tt the highest in cls was 62! not tt we should compare lar...
well, i dun rlly read the papers a lot, should make it a habit too though. and my academic performance since the start of the year hasn't exactly been great. mus buck up... more slp!!! bleargh...

and hereby, i'd like to congratulate Bryan on his expressiveness and straight-forwardness in English class... xD great job... lol

Man U secures a victory against Liverpool! woohoo! Ferdinand scores the winner seconds before the final whistle! wo0t! Did not actually watch the match Live, but saw the Live Commentary via manutd.com. yes, i'm an e-member... =DDD and Rio has finally prove that he is not merely a lazy and overrated defender, he does have substance! and let's hope he maintains his good form! :)

today was a pretty slack days, with a couple of "slack periods". got screwed during Oral Comm thanks to Guo Dong with his "You'll never walk alone..." sounds like some funeral march... when sung by Guo Dong... xD jus kidding lar. but honestly, i dun think it's supposed to be sung the way u're doing it, TGD. im safe, cos Guo Dong doesn't read blogs! xD

and tmr, i shall find out whether my transfer to RISE has been approved! hmm... keeping my fingers crossed. though i shall continue fighting for it if it's rejected. i really can't imagine myself staying in NCC anymore. no way... no offence to the CCA as well as all the cadets (a number of which are my real good pals), i simply do not have the "flame" anymore... no point continuing. u people should understand... ;)

and for the first time in the month of January, i'm not pressed for homework.. so kinda procrastinating. as usual. heh. really gotta press myself to work lar...

and i think i actually have a chance of owning the Creative Zen Vison:M or Ipod Video, in less than 3 months' time... so close....... yet so far....

Rossi, Rossi, wherefore art thou Rossi?

Sundays, which used to be wonderful days of relaxation for me, have now turned into living hell... as usual, the overwhelming workload is suffocating... i quote studentssketchpad, unnatural mugging is WRONG!!! haha nvm...

i spent a whole afternoon and part of the evening doing the kong zi ppt. which is way beyond the time limit... damn!!! and now, i have to struggle with my wan cheng wen zhang... and the topics they give are jus pretty hard to expand on lar. cos normally, u do not see gang fights happening in coffee shops, do u? maybe jus the parking lady comes along, and ppl shout "CARPARK, CARPARK!!!" and dash out to place more parking coupons. and i guess tt isn't exactly what the teacher demands issit? or maybe cos i'm not creative enough to think of something interesting to what is seemingly a well-set question?! haha... but still, regardless of what i say, i still have to complete it... owells.

the start of this year has not been exactly fantastic. and i'm actually starting to find school boring, which has never happened in the past year, with all sorts of things spicing up my life. this year has been assignment after assignment. argh.. maybe the hols have slackened me too much, and now everything seems unbearable.. yes, everything from CCA to assignments...

i complain too much.. sigh...

ok. cbw jus sent me a recording of Heifetz playing some virtuoso piece. forgot the name lar... x) tt guy is a GENIUS!!! his fingers land so precisely on the fingerboard, and the music he produces is just wow!!! u look at the way he plays 8 times slower, and you'll still be impressed. aahhh... tt's the standard i aim to reach. do i hear *not in a million years lar* coming from cbw? xD

Fridays rock!

yea! Fridays just rock! and the best Friday of them all? Hullett Dramafeste 2004- FRIDAY!!! woohoo!

yesterday was pretty monotonous generally. something happened on the MRT that really caught everyone's attention. a French (i think) lady accidentally knocked into a man on the train. and the man jus shoved her! the lady was apparently unhappy about it, and confronted that guy. and that guy said, "maybe next time you should say excuse me instead of shoving." and evey single person who was present could have sworn that he was the one who pushed tt lady when she jus bumped into him accidentally.

wat makes it worse was that the lady was a foreigner, and wat will she think of Singaporeans? wat the man did has left a terrible impression on me. and it's obvious wat sort of impression the lady will have... why can't ppl jus learn to tolerate each other, and spare everyone from such unhappiness!

sch today passed relatively quickly... and i went to the CDC booth for Raffles Trail 2.. altho i mus admit i wasn't of much help. RP was doing something really creative! haha. and whether or not i can successfully transfer to RISE... we shall noe next week.

all over again

the homework load seems to be piling up, and it never seems to lessen.. yea, not a single bit...it's damn tedious... and i feel rlly screwed....

maths assignment, science interview, geog ws, due fiday.. and im sure there are many more i've left out... and chinese hw is flooding up my whole bag... argh... essays, projects... screw it lar... and i achieved 27/50 for shu ping... well done lar... dumb, dumb, dumb rubrics...

okay. enough of such stuff. it makes me feel sick...

NCC training today was relatively light. but lots of drills though. i find them pointless actually... its meant to inculcate discipline... but i believe there are many othewr ways lar... instead of drills, drills, and more drills. i'd rather do PT than drills actually. at least PT serves some purpose. and of cos soccer was enjoyable.. the space was finally big enough. but unfortuantely, the wet ground made turning difficult argh... and jun yong pwns lor... he saved all my 3 shots at goal lar... especially my bouncing header... and jsaper's shot after a brilliant one-two our team played lar... and most noticeably the diving save jun yong made from terence's shot... compeltely brilliant! wo0t! unbelievable lor...

but still, RISE's the best! :DDDD

of downloading music and busy weekend

been downloading lots of music recently... Morpheus ROCKS!!! thanks, cbw! (: downloaded a couple of songs i've always wanted to listen to! yay!

and i guess that was how the bulk of my weekend was wasted away... hai... =p

the weekend wasn't really productive. jus can't concentrate on a thing fully at a time. i tend to get distracted by many other stuff.. especially when im online! MSN... addicted to it lar.. can't type a few sentences properly without talking to someone on MSN... and tt's really quite sad lor... maybe i shall jus delete it for a couple of days... but THE HORROR!!! it's like depriving cbw of the violin/viola. and Chong Yu of books =p... well, u get the idea... done my cwealth essay.. like FINALLY!!! revising a little of Topical Assessment, and the Current Affairs Quiz. tnx for the hint, Patrick! :) can't really do anything tmr nite... going to Mediacorp for Campus Superstar. Yin wei, you ROCK (my sock)!!! =DDDDD

Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th!

but it sure wasb't an unlucky day for me! ;) but kinda dozed off durign science today.. couldn't keep my eyes open... >.< but still, i was awake, and paid attention throughout the bulk of the lesson! :) and my RE group has signed up for the laser animation project. but we might not be granted a place. cos 5 groups signed up and only 2 groups will be allowed... so will have to be prepared lor...

well, my weekend's gonna be really, really packed. Commonwealth esay, science, maths... >.<>.< lalala... so fun! and dere's also vln lesson tmr... but i'm really looking forward t it! woohoo! there's this surge of enthusiasm... and i sure hope it'll last! ;D wish to get myself a new bow too... an octagonal one... for better control... although i learnt from Mingxi (a luthier) that most pros use round bows(like me o.0 jkjk)!

need ta continue with my vln practice.. have not one a proper practice in days.. i mean it.. everything seems so rusty lor... need some solid practice... but before tt, i have to worry abt my hw... sob

JRIC!!!

today was the JRIC for the sec 1s! and they're officially part of the Rafflesian family!!! :DDD

That's one thing i like most about Raffles. the strong spirit and zest which the majority (if not all) of us possess! we're really overjoyed when the school achieve some honours and cheer each other on when things are jus not going our way, it's genuine. and now, we welcome the sec 1s into our huge family... expecting them to do the school proud as well. and i'm sure they'll try their best, and show them how Rafflesians fight!!! woohoo!

we had the san guo yan yi test today... and it was so much harder than expoected! ouch... so many open-ended lor... i expected them to be mcq... but i was really lucky. managed to find the answers in the book! :D and i dare say i'm pretty confident... heh!

tmr, cbw and i might be going to Kinokuniya. though cbw's having second thoughts abt it... -.- and i'll pay a visit to Ambercraft violins, and get the luthier to repair my peg box. which is seriously screwed. The A-string peg could not be turned completely.. dammit. broke liao... ): but there'll be a Malay briefing tmr.. i dun feel like going. waste of 2 hours... nuthing's confirmed lar...

and there's current affairs quiz tmr. i thot it was supposed to be local affairs. and it was changed last-minute to World affairs.... tnx to some ppl who was overseas and made noise to mr yap... and now, sigh.. i'm so screwed... and there's no way to MUG it! =p

im drained... long day for me.. maybe try to dig up some old newspapers, and "revise"

Hari Raya Haji

Selamat Hari Raya Haji!

Public holidays are supposedly meant for slacking. but this is apparently not the case for me, or in fact, for many others. be it commonwealth essays, san guo yan yi or lit files.... sigh... it was a busy day.

woke up late... which was the only benefit of the day. the rest of the day was monotonous... finished san guo yan yi and did my commonwealth essay! draft :D while my sis went out with my parents for the whole day together with my auntie and cousins. and the worst thing was that internet kept crashing... damn... i think i shall ring them up some day and give them some trouble... jkjk...

well... in a foul mood now... and i can't think of what to do for RSS CNY celebration. sad...

tomorrow's gonna be a tough day... look at the timetable lar! and NCC training after school. =( yes, i do turn up, k? oh and JRIC! toot toot, Vincent, Hong Zheng are gonna get their badges! wow! *round of applause* they are the only RSS-ians, i think...

TCON

jus watched The Chronicles Of Narnia with cbw! it was really enjoyable.. and cbw was constantly(okay maybe not) comparing LOTR to TCON. well, definitely, TCON is not on such a grand scale as LOTR (the movie, i mean). but still, both are classics in the own right. and enjoyable all the same! ;) those who have not watched the movie (like Kern Choong), whose most recently-watched movie was Robots! -.- do watch it! it ROCKS!!! with little pieces of humour here and there. but i just couldn't help sniggering during the movie at certain serious parts of the movie when i considered what http://gssq.blogspot.com had to say... bwahahahahaha...

and yes, another object that caught cbw's fancy... a self-constructable lightsaber, 1000 combinations!!! they have the "crystals" that can produce the different electronice lights as well! woohoo! and guess what.. $129.90! and i have to lend him $30 bucks for it... well, i dun mind if he promises nvr to finger-lock me again... haha

Doctor Tan

6.45pm today marks the end of Doctor Tan's ninth (not too sure =p) attempt to break a Guiness World Record!this time, he's trying to do 466km in 24 hours! wow! however, he onli managed to complete 200+ km. what i heard on the tv was tt the materials used for his wheelchair was different from the one used in the world-record breaking feat. Therefore, they are fighting for a brand new record for Doctor Tan himself! woohoo! =D

"Believe You Can Succeed"!!! *directed to a particular someone who's feeling down at the moment ;) dun be upset, yea? haha(: * well, i'll support u... always! haha (:

and tomorrow's my first violin lesson of this year. must drive myself to practise harder! i feel soooooo inferior when i listen to cbw play... and needless to say, those virtuosos at the National Piano and Violin Competition! haha. think i gonna change teacher soon =x

and i really need ta relax this weekend.. think i've over-exhausted myself... though i doubt there was any homework whatsoever. =p just feel so burnt. lol. maybe jus not used to waking up at 6 every morning again? Never mind, gotta keep the momentum running! wo0t!

and i doubt there'll be time for blogging next week. san guo yan yi test... gonna be reading like crazy =p but honestly, it's getting really interesting... cos all the killing has started. GROOWWWWLLL!!! jkjk. and wif the appearance of Kong Ming(Zhuge Liang). wow... i'm like so overwhelmed by his wits! =D

really sleepy liao... need ta slp... and made my one and only New Year Resolution(so far): improve on my violin technique! really regretting not taking the instrument seriously when i was young.. now i'm really lagging! :( but, Practice Makes Perfect... (provided i'm practising the right things lar haha)

back to sch =)))))

today's first day of school! =))) met up with everyone again... not as though we haf been apart for years... haha, but still, glad to see everyone back in school! wo0t! =D

we had a few major changes in our teachers. Mr Chong is no longer our FT (sob), and our new FT will be Mrs Neoh *something* *something* forgot lar... =phowever, she's on maternity leave, so a particular Mr Julian is taking over. --no comments-- geog tchr will be changing... =( mrs lim rocks! our new teacher will be mrs ong wai ling... duno much lar... Philo we'll be having mr kenneth low... and the rest no major changes...

OH! how could i forget out MTL tchr... ouch! our dear Mdm Cai is no longer teaching us... (so)... and Ms Heng Hui Joo's our new MTL tchr... wow! quite a pity, cos Mdm Cai's eally nice... =p

and there's a new guy in our class called Stefan. again... i'm not gonna comment... but well, welcome to 2H! =S

and the new monitor's Ying Jie! =DDDD yay! eh, 2H mus cooperate with him, yea...

we din do anything much today lar... jus some discussions about tomorrow's CIP at the beach. (beach clean-up) after which, we'll be having a small picnic! =))) woohoo! SOCCER!!! i'm gonna pwn... jkjk...we'll be dismissed at 1.35pm... yay! but we have CCA, so makes not much diff lar... and went to see Mr Azhar today.. still duno if can transfer CCA anot... =( hoping for the best!

met KM at City Hall on the way home... so coincidental... lol... the first thing she said was "i saw nicole tay in school today..." okayy... wow!=p
